How to handle this situation?

I was doing some cleaning in the attic and found an old box of my brothers from at least 12 years ago. I was rumbling through it and i found a package that resembles some type of drug. Im not sure what color is is but is powdery and the smell is mild. I'm not sure to have it checked locally because my brother is at the peak of his life and im not sure how to tell if its a drug on my own
