I just want to know does my ex boyfriend still care?

Okay my ex&i have been together for 5 amazing years.then for some reason he decided to break up with me a month after our anniversary.we have been broken up for 3months but in those three months we still contact each other,we do somethings with each other(cant say)we kiss each other&once in awhile remind each other we love each other.so after those 3months he started becoming mean&rude to me out of no where.he offically decided we are broken up&during this week he calls me at 1am in the morning to say someone has to talk to u&it was his newgirlfriend,she came off disrespecting me&cursing at me so as a girl im going to stand my ground&i got ready to rumble.after that day,me&his mother had a talk about wat he did last night&in the morning he calls me apologizing about what he did and that we could be friend.but i want to be more that friends.ooh by the way thats not his only girlfriend he has more&he cheatin on every single last one of them&told me about it.is he trying to make me jealous&does he still care?
