A Good First Pool Cue?

I want to get my first personal pool cue. I'm not very familiar with cues, but I do know that I play with more finesse than power, and that I'm a fan of the irish linen wrap. I'm also looking for a pool stick with more utility than decoration, so I'm not specifically looking for something that looks good. I'd like to spend somewhere from $50 to $100, so if you know of a brand or specific cue that I might like please let me know. Thanks.
