Is the rumbling in my ear tinnitus?

Tinnitus is 'ringing' in the ear like a high pitched noise. I doubt you have damaged you're hearing permanently. What you have happens to people after they have been to a loud concert and it subsides within 24 hours. In future though be careful as repetitive noise exposure like this could lead to tinnitus and/or hearing loss!
