Where can you get a good straight perm at?

I want to get a straight perm. DO NOT tell me it's bad for your hair. I KNOW. But my hair is very frizzy and poofy and wavy and hard to handle so I HAVE to do something. I live in the south. Not California, so obviously I can't get a Japanese straight perm. When I go to my stylist, what should I ask for? I wouldn't mind a curly perm, but I'm afraid it would be frizzy. I like curly hair, but my hair is just awkwardly wavy. So. Straight perm? Curly perm? & What would it look like?
